To the contrary, this feature in the My Disney Experience app can be frustrating due to its unfriendly user interface, propensity for glitches, and the fact that it’ll increase your screen time. First, you do not needto buy Genie+ or use Lightning Lanes to have a fun and productive day at Walt Disney World. If our assumptions are accurate, Genie+ will cost ~$19 to $23 for the rest of 2022, and won’t be $16 or $17 again until a scattering of weekdays in January 2023. In November and December, day ticket prices max out at $159, meaning Genie+ shouldcost no more than $23 on those days. Single-day ticket prices this month max out at $154 on Saturdays, which are also presumably the $22 Genie+ days. This is the least-expensive 1-day ticket price for the remainder of the month, meaning that the date-based change to Genie+ is effectively a $5+ price increase. ![]() One day into this new date-based Genie+ pricing scheme, the cost is $20 (plus tax) on a day that ticket prices are $139. That’s simply example pricing, and no details have been provided about the minimum or maximum over the course of the year. With that said, we’d expect the cost of Genie+ to more or less be tethered to tickets, so it should be relatively easy to surmise based on the 1-day ticket calendar.įor October 2022, Walt Disney World has revealed that Genie+ prices will range from $15 to $22, plus tax.
